What is the BIOLUX system?
The Biolux system has mainly two components. A control unit, the BIOLUX HCL, and the luminaires, of which there are two models: the BIOLUX HCL Downlight and a 60×60 BIOLUX HCL Panel.
How does it work?
With this system, the system can be left in automatic mode, which allows automatic adjustment of the type of light appropriate to each moment of the day, or select the type of lighting that we want at a given moment to enhance a certain state, such as This is the case of the “RELAX” and “BOOST” modes.
In which cases can I apply it?
BIOLUX is designed to work with “individual” spaces, without separations, with little or no natural light and with up to 20 luminaires. This limitation of 20 luminaires can be extended to additional luminaires on request.
Spaces such as meeting rooms or offices that work with a single ignition.
Outstanding Features
The control unit stands out for its ease of installation, which with wireless communication with the luminaires simplifies the commissioning and configuration of the system. Something very important when it comes to an update or rehabilitation of the installation and not a new installation, since it saves work and possible wiring problems.
The rotary switch of the control is very intuitive, visual and easy to use.

A type of light for each moment of the day
Morning to noon/after lunch: Bright, energizing cool white lamp with a high blue content (eg 6,500K with 450 lux in view illumination).
Towards the evening: direct warm white light with low blue content (for example, 2,700 to 3,000 K) that helps the body to relax and prepare for the night.
How BIOLUX HCL is installed and configured
- INSTALLATION – quick and easy thanks to wireless technology
I. Control cables are not required for luminaires.
II. The control unit must only be connected to the power supply.
III. HCL luminaires communicate wirelessly via the ZigBee protocol.
In this step it is recommended that the installation be carried out by a qualified professional installer. - SETUP – easy via smart mobile app
I. Luminaires are registered and added to the system using a smartphone to scan a QR code.
