Lighting design for semi-detached houses

We present one of the projects carried out by IGSA Lighting Design Studio. This project focuses on the lighting design, both interior and exterior, for two semi-detached houses.

The lighting design aims to enhance the architectural character of the homes while providing functionality to the living spaces. One of the main challenges was to create a lighting system that adapts to the residents’ needs while also highlighting the architectural details both inside and outside the houses.

Project characteristics

Interior lighting:

Definition of spaces: Lighting has been used to help define and differentiate the different areas of the interior of the houses.
Creation of atmospheres: The interior lighting generates welcoming and comfortable environments, providing a sense of well-being to the inhabitants.
Adaptability: The interior lighting system has been designed to be adaptable to the different needs and activities of the residents.

Exterior lighting:

Enhancement of the architecture: On the outside, work has been done to enhance the beauty of the architecture of the houses, highlighting the key architectural elements.
Landscape and environment: Outdoor lighting not only improves the aesthetics of the houses, but also harmoniously integrates the surrounding landscape.
Night environment: Provides a pleasant and safe environment during the night hours, making outdoor spaces usable and pleasant also during the night.

The end result is a lighting design that fuses aesthetics and functionality, both inside and outside homes. The project demonstrates how a well-thought-out lighting design can transform the experience of living in a house, making it more comfortable, welcoming and visually appealing.
