WORK CLOTHING size guide
Measure Well for a Good Fit – by Snickers Workwear
The best way to ensure you get optimally fitting workwear is to actually try it on. If that’s not possible, we recommend that you follow the measuring tips carefully to ensure you get the correct size.
Important measuring tips.
- Get help from someone to take your measurements.
- Take measurements dressed in close-fitting underwear.
- Measure well: against/around your body, but don’t pull the tape measure so hard that it “cuts”.
- When measuring the inside leg, make sure the tape measure is firmly extended.
How to choose the best size of work clothes?
Body length: from the top of the head to the sole of the foot.
Chest: chest width, horizontally at the widest place.
Waist: Waist measurement – measure horizontally at the level of the navel. Important measurement for pants and one-piece overalls.
Bottom Waist: Width of the bottom waist where you wear the pants.
Seat: width of the seat, horizontally at the widest place.Inner leg: from the crotch to the sole of the foot. Extremely important measure so that the knee pads remain in the correct position.
Remember to keep the tape measure taut. Leg length is especially important if your work clothes have pockets and features on the legs.
Each CE marked garment must have a label with a pictogram showing the size and body measurements of the person for whom the garment is intended. This means that you can always check the inside of the garment to see the size. In the image with the CE marking, the measurements are for men’s size 50.
