New network analyzers D1M, for DIN rail mounting

Currently, buildings are responsible for up to 30% of Spain’s energy consumption, as well as 40% of the country’s pollutant emissions. Figures that, in a context marked by society’s growing awareness of the effects of climate change, together with the cost and scarcity of energy, only highlight how important it is to improve efficiency and sustainability of the buildings.
And the fact is that, in global figures, the Spanish real estate stock has an average lifespan of 45 years, up to 80% of the buildings having been built in a decade, the 1980s, in which energy efficiency did not even it was a factor to consider when building it. In the midst of the era of digitization, this continues to provide us with new tools and solutions that allow us to face these challenges, both in new buildings and when carrying out rehabilitation and/or reform projects.

New D1M network analyzers for optimal energy management
Designed with intuition, quality and user experience in mind, ABB’s D1Ms feature DIN rail mounting, offering a scalable solution to suit various monitoring needs:
- Energy efficiency: meeting the precision standards set in the IEC 61557-12 standard, they allow to improve the efficiency of the electrical system and guarantee the reliability of all electrical parameters and power quality indicators.
- Easy installation and operation: With a common and intuitive menu structure, easy-to-read LCD/LED displays and an easy-to-use interface with multiple parameters available, they more than noticeably reduce the time required to operate the analyzers.
- Enhanced connectivity and integration: enable efficient connectivity through remote communication via Modbus RTU and Modbus TCP/IP.
- Complete and compact design: their design ensures that they occupy a very limited space inside the electrical panel. In addition, a very complete range of network analyzers has been developed to cover all essential measurement needs in an electrical installation.
Commitment to sustainability
The D1Ms comply with the PEP eco Passport® environmental statement. ABB assesses environmental impacts throughout the life cycle of its products, and provides customers with reliable information through externally verified Type III environmental product declarations (EPDs) according to ISO 14025.
In addition, they present a series of outstanding features among which they stand out:
- Complete solution that meets the IEC 61557-12 standard.
- LCD/LED screens for easy operation.
- Modbus RTU and Modbus TCP/IP communication protocols.2 DO to D1M 15 and 2 DI/DO to D1M 20.
- Compact, they occupy 3 modules.
- Automatic scrolling of the screen.
ABB continues to demonstrate its ongoing commitment to innovation and sustainability, providing society with key tools to address the energy challenges of today and the future.
